Phase 1 is one of the most popular habitat classification standards in the UK. It was first published by the JNCC in 1990.
Habitat classification is the process of mapping an area following a determined habitat classification scheme. Multiple classifications have been proposed. Our databases were annotated by an expert following the Phase 1 guidelines.

Habitat K contains two different databases: Habitat 1K (4,000 habitats) and Habitat 3K (11,000 habitats).
